Dan Bong 단봉

The Dan Bong is the short stick used in Hapkido to disable opponents, defend against attacks and used in offensive and defensive techniques. Each Dan Bong measures 13" long and 1" diameter and is made from Bocote wood. Bocote is an exotic wood native to Mexico, Central America, and the West Indies. It features a wide range of grain patterns from straight to wild, with curved lines and swirls. The color ranges from golden brown to tan to golden yellow. It is a hard, heavy, and dense wood, strong and stiff, with a medium texture. This wood is one of the best types of wood as it is strong enough to break bones as well as defend against other weapons. Joong Bong 중봉

The Joong Bong (중봉) is the middle stick used in Hapkido to disable opponents, defend against attacks and used in both offensive and defensive techniques. Each Joong Bong is also made from Bubinga wood. Bubinga is an exotic hard wood from African. This wood is loved its strength and beauty. The Joong Bong measures at 36 inches in length and 7/8 of an inch in diameter. Please note that due to the different cuts of wood, your weapon may have different lines/grooves in the weapon. Each batch of wood is different. User assumes full responsibility of purchase.
