Description: The Dual Dan Bong (쌍단봉) is the short stick used in Hapkido to disable opponents, defend against attacks and used in offensive and defensive techniques. Each Dan Bong measures 13" long and 1" diameter and is made from Bocote wood. Bocote is an exotic wood native to Mexico, Central America, and the West Indies. It features a wide range of grain patterns from straight to wild, with curved lines and swirls. The color ranges from golden brown to tan to golden yellow. It is a hard, heavy, and dense wood, strong and stiff, with a medium texture. This wood is one of the best types of wood as it is strong enough to break bones as well as defend against other weapons. In order to learn how to use this weapon properly, we currently offer Dan Bong Sul Vol. 1 and Ssang (Dual) Dan Bong (쌍단봉) DVDs. Please note that each Dan Bong may look different due to the cut of wood. Each batch of wood varies. Please specify which type of Dan Bong Weapon you want.
